We stopped by the Belize Zoo on our way to Cayo. Peter was the only one of us permitted to get a kiss from Junior. Funny. The rest of us got to pet his belly and paws (the jaguar's, not Peter's).

We asked Marfa to make us Escabeche on Thursday. Very tasty. We did not get pictures of the excellent chocolate cake.

North of the Cut

On Tuesday (Walker's Birthday) we explored north of the cut. Found the famous ex-pat bar.

Ramon's Photo Op

When the weather cleared (storm Monday morning) we ventured into town. Here we are killing time at the end of the dock of Ramon's Reef Resort (now called "Ramon's Village" I gather).

A Very Good Lunch

At El Fogon, near the airstrip. Traditional food, highly recommended. The pibil was excellent.

A Sunday trip into town.

We are 3.5 miles south of San Pedro town. Golf carts are the preferred vehicles; here we are cruising in one down Front Street. About 22,000 people live here on the island during high season; lots of ex-pats.

First dip after a long day of travel

It took a while (delays in Miami and at Belize International Airport) but we finally made it. The Casa de Lisa dock is perfect.

Trying out the new Underwater Camera

I got a new underwater camera case for my birthday and we wanted to try it out in the pool. The pictures look amazing!

We are going to belize in 5 days and everyone is so excited! We can't wait!
